I am Piyush Rana, learner of grade 11th pursuing Humanities at Nanakmatta Public School. I love filmmaking and watching movies, I have joined the film club since 2023 because of Film screening and After screenings discussions which make my interest more deeply.
The short documentary Indo-Persian Culture, directed by Yousuf Saeed, helped me understand the deep connection between Indian and Persian cultures and how Persian influences gradually became part of our traditions, which we value today. I connected this film with two other films by Yousuf Saeed, Indo Basant and A Khayal Darshan. All three films helped me understand how art, music, and traditions cross geographical borders and connect different cultures. The film also made me realise that culture is never fixed; it keeps evolving through interactions and exchanges between people.
